On many of our holidays of this type you can take part in a vast range of exhilarating outdoor activities. Hire a snowmobile and speed off into the silent wilderness, zipping up and down fells and weaving between towering pine trees laden with snow. Try out the old pastime of snowshoeing or try your hand at ice fishing on the frozen lakes. If you catch anything, you could even take it back to prepare for dinner on holidays in log cabins. In many places there are miles and miles of cross country skiing trails that are waiting to be discovered, or you might like to take a trip to a local husky dog centre and find out what it is like to race along on a sled whilst being pulled by these excitable animals. The best thing about holidays at log cabins is that at the end of an action-packed day, you can return to your cosy accommodation and snuggle down for the night in front of the fire. On many of our holidays, the log cabins have their own private sauna too for you to warm up in. Constructed from thick pine logs, the quaint log cabins are so well insulated that it is hard to tell that the temperature outside barely gets above freezing.
