Day 1 - Arrive in Finland

You are collected from the airport and driven to the magical Iso Syöte resort, where you will be shown to your cosy cabin. Enjoy a relaxing first evening of your log cabins holiday and perhaps take advantage of the hotel’s sauna.

Day 2 - Snowmobile Safari

Today you set off on snowmobiles for a thrilling three hour adventure in the Iso Syöte fells and forests. We stop in the wilderness, where you are supplied with hot drinks around a campfire before making the return journey.

If snowmobiling sounds like just your thing, you can choose to extend this adventure to a full six hours. This longer excursions gives you a more intense experience of this exhilarating activity and allows you to explore ever more of Finland's stunning scenery on your log cabins holiday.

Day 3 - Kicksledding

Today we have a go at using kicksleds, which were invented in Scandinavia around the 1900s as a simple way of travelling through the snow. They are a lot of fun and being led by a local guide, you can use them to explore more of the Iso Syöte resort on your log cabins holiday.

Day 4 - Northern Lights Safari

Today on your log cabins holiday, you can spend the day at leisure. You might like to borrow a pair of snowshoes from the hotel and explore the captivating surroundings along silent forest trails. When darkness falls, the excitement builds as you get to grips with handling a snowmobile. Once you have mastered the driving technique, set off with your guide on an epic journey into the wilderness to go in search of the elusive Northern Lights.

Day 5 - Husky Sledding
Husky Sledding

This morning on the log cabins holiday, we set off on a husky safari. Travel to the husky farm and see where the dogs live and how they are cared for. We then assemble the dogs into packs and set off on a wonderful adventure through the snowy forests and icy swamps of the Syöte National Park. We travel an incredible 12km by husky sled, taking approximately three hours.

For those of you eager to spend more time with this sensational creatures, we can extend today's adventure to an incredible five hour adventure! Not only will you have more time to spend with these amazing animals, you'll have more chance to practice your husky mushing skills for the ultimate Finnish experience!

Day 6 - Reindeer Sleigh Ride

Today we travel to a nearby farm and learn about reindeer husbandry. There will be a delightfully old fashioned reindeer sleigh ride, giving you the opportunity to see some of the enchanting snow-dusted wilderness as you enjoy an authentic Lappish form of this wonderful activity.

Day 7 - At Leisure
At Leisure

The final day of your log cabins holiday can be spent as you wish. You might like to borrow snowshoes again, or perhaps head to the ski area, where there are 12 downhill ski slopes and 120 kilometres of cross country ski trails. Equipment can be hired locally from the resort.

Day 8 - Departure

After breakfast, make the return journey to the airport for your flight home.
