Day 1 - Arrive in Riga, Latvia
On the first day of cruise holidays in the Baltic Sea you have the chance to explore a city that is often overlooked when it comes to selecting holiday destinations and very wrongly so, as its architecture is simply stunning. The unusual German Art Nouveau design of the buildings is what has earned Riga its UNESCO status as there is no city on Earth like it. Stay overnight at the Tallink Hotel.
Day 2 - At Sea
Departing Riga in the morning, enjoy a relaxing cruise on board either the Festival or Romantica cruise ships. Take advantage of the on-board facilities including bars and restaurants, and head to the outdoor deck to feel the fresh Baltic air as you sail towards Sweden. After enjoying some of the evening entertainment, retire to your comfortable cabin for the night.Meals included:Breakfast, Dinner
Day 3 - Stockholm, Sweden
This morning wake up to fabulous views of Sweden’s capital as the cityscape comes into view. Being built on 14 interconnected islands, the best way to see the city is on a boat trip. Explore Gamla Stan, the city’s endearing Old Town, or visit some of the numerous museums. Drottningholm Palace is the residence of the royals and is listed on the UNESCO World Heritage list, as is Birka Island, a historical Viking settlement.Meals included:Breakfast
Day 4 - At Sea
Today on cruise holidays in the Baltic Sea you will embark one of the Silja cruise ships bound for Helsinki. There are plenty of boutiques, bars and gourmet restaurants on board, and there is a swimming pool and sauna to help you unwind. Day 5 - Helsinki, Finland
Arrive this morning in Finland’s illustrious capital. At the entrance to the harbour you will see the imposing UNESCO listed Fortress of Suomenlinna which was constructed during the 18th century, and you can either take a guided tour or explore at leisure. Also in the city, do not miss the beautiful Senate Square which is dominated by the impressive Helsinki Cathedral. Tonight we stay at the Scandic Continental Hotel.Meals included:Breakfast
Day 6 - Tallinn, Estonia
On the last full day of cruise holidays in the Baltic Sea we take the high speed Tallink Shuttle for a quick voyage across to Estonia’s fascinating capital. The city is a well preserved example of a medieval trading city and has retained many of its attractive historic features, earning it its UNESCO status. Wander around Freedom Square, see the impressive Kadriorg Palace and explore St Catherine’s Passage which is lined with charming souvenir shops. Day 7 - Departure
Transfer to the airport for your return flight to the UK.Meals included:Breakfast
