Day 1 - Thursday – Arrive in Lapland
Fly to Kittilä Airport for your Northern Lights short break and take in the scenery as you are driven to the Harriniva Holiday Centre in Muonio. Tuck into a tasty dinner in the restaurant before your introduction to the Aurora at a fascinating Northern Lights workshop. Keep an eye on the sky tonight as you may well be welcomed to Lapland by a dazzling display from the Northern Lights!Meals included:Dinner
Day 2 - Friday – Snow Fun
This morning, travel to a rustic reindeer farm and learn about the lives of the herders living in Lapland, as well and uncovering more about these endearing creatures from the Sámi herders. Practice the technique of lassoing the animals before sitting back and relaxing as you embark on a sleigh ride through the enchanting forests. Back at the hotel, warm up in the sauna and then head over to the restaurant for dinner. This evening of your Northern Lights short break is spent on an exciting snowmobile adventure, covering up to 20 kilometres in search of a breathtaking display of the Aurora.Meals included:Breakfast, Lunch, Dinner
Day 3 - Saturday – Sámi Experience
Today you can try your hand at two of the traditional modes of transport that are used in these far northerly regions. First, visit a nearby husky farm and meet the 400 eager residents before learning to drive your own team of huskies. Put your new found skills to the test with a two hour adventure by dog sled over the pristine snows of Lapland. Return to the hotel for dinner and afterwards, strap on snowshoes and embark on a hike into the wilderness of Lapland to go in search of the Aurora Borealis on your Northern Lights short break. Your knowledgeable guide will try to lead you to optimum vantage points to give you the best possible chances of witnessing the Aurora on the last night of your break.Meals included:Breakfast, Lunch, Dinner
Day 4 - Sunday – Departure
Your Northern Lights short break comes to an end today, hopefully you'll be returning home with the memories (and photos) of an incredible Aurora sighting as you head to Kittila Airport for your flight home.Meals included:Breakfast
