You can see many of Iceland’s most celebrated sights and attractions in one fabulous short break – perfect for those looking to get a taste of this captivating country. There is nowhere on Earth quite like Iceland. The landscapes are breathtaking and the Iceland city break gives you the opportunity to witness their beauty first hand. With accommodation in the centre of the capital, all of the city sights are within easy reach so you can go out exploring during your free time. Reykjavík is also famous for its nightlife, so it is highly recommended that you visit some of the many bars and restaurants during your stay.

The places you will visit on this Iceland package holiday are only a short drive away from the capital so most of your valuable holiday time can be spent seeing the sights rather than travelling. The highlights of the trip are most definitely the Blue Lagoon and Golden Circle tour, but Iceland has far more to offer should you decide to return.

  • Day 1 - Arrive in Reykjavík

    This tour takes you to some “must see” sights of Iceland. - Arrive in Reykjavík

    From the airport, transfer by flybus to your hotel and then head out to experience some of Reykjavík’s vibrant nightlife. Perhaps celebrate the beginning of your Iceland city break in style with a delicious dinner of authentic Icelandic cuisine.

  • Day 2 - City Sightseeing and Blue Lagoon

    City Sightseeing and Blue Lagoon

    In the morning take a guided tour of Reykjavík’s sights. See Hallgrímskirkja, the largest church in Iceland and Tjörnin, a lake that is unusually situated within the city centre. In the afternoon you are free to explore at leisure. Perhaps visit the fascinating National Museum of Iceland, or browse the shops on Laugavegur, the city’s main shopping street. In the afternoon, enjoy a highlight of the Iceland city break with a swim in the Blue Lagoon – an unforgettable experience.

  • Day 3 - Iceland’s Golden Circle

    Iceland’s Golden Circle

    Today incorporates three of Iceland’s major attractions. First we visit Gullfoss, a breathtaking waterfall that thunders down a canyon of the Hvítá River. Next on the Iceland city break we continue to Geysir, the famous hot spring that shoots boiling water an impressive 70 metres into the air. Finally we arrive at Þingvellir National Park which protects the remains of the historical Althing, an assembly that met every year to set laws and settle disputes in Iceland.

  • Day 4 - Departure

    Departure

    Today the Iceland city break concludes. Following breakfast, take the flybus back to the airport for your flight back to the UK.
