Day 1 - Welcome to Iceland
Arrive at Keflavík International Airport and transfer by Flybus to the Grand Hotel Reykjavík & Spa. This cosmopolitan city is renowned for its nightlife so why not explore the area before retiring for the evening to stylish 4-star accommodation?
Day 2 - Southern Iceland
An experienced tour guide will escort you to some of the south coast’s most impressive geological landmarks, including an active volcano, the Eyjafjallajökull Glacier, Skógafoss Waterfall and the heavily populated bird cliffs at Reynisfjara. Whether your interests lie in nature or photography, this Iceland spa holiday allows you to witness an array of indigenous wildlife, which make for very interesting subjects. Later you will have the opportunity to step behind the tumbling curtain of the Seljalandsfoss Waterfall as it pours over the mountain. Day 3 - Wilderness Walks
Stepping out onto snow-covered lava fields, we embrace the elements and explore the area on foot. You can choose to spend the morning at leisure or discover the wonder of the region with fellow travellers. The Iceland spa holiday includes an informative presentation which details some interesting facts about the Northern Lights. Take advantage of your hosts’ expertise and discover the best places to spot these other-worldly phenomena. Day 4 - Waterfalls, Geysers and Geothermal Steam Baths
The day begins with the remarkable Hjálparfoss Waterfall which parts as it cascades over the basalt rocks. Next we experience the beauty of Þjórsárdalur, a valley which is home to the renowned active volcano, Hekla. As afternoon approaches we reach the erupting geysers in the Southwest of Iceland before heading towards the Gullfoss Waterfall. Day 5 - Free Time, The Icelandic Horse and Coastal Villages
Enjoy this morning in any way you wish. Perhaps utilise the facilities at the Frost and Fire Hotel, or explore the landscapes, absorbing the scenery of Hveragerði during a guided tour of the village. Today on the Iceland spa holiday, you will also visit a local horse farm where you can discover the importance of these incredible animals to the Icelandic people. A trip to a nearby folk museum and maritime museum provides further insight into the history of the regions we visit. Day 6 - Þingvellir National Park and the Blue Lagoon
Delve into Iceland’s history at the UNESCO World Heritage Site, Þingvellir National Park. Alongside its political significance, the park is an area of outstanding beauty with fissures and faults, creating an awe-inspiring landscape. At Hvalfjörður fjord we call at a horse farm, where we dine with the family and learn about day-to-day life here. Later, during the Iceland spa holiday, bathe in the warm, mineral waters of the world- renowned Blue Lagoon. Tonight is a truly memorable event with a superior three-course meal at the revolving restaurant, Perlan, which boasts views of Reykjavík and beyond. Day 7 - Reykjavík City Tour
Spend the morning on a two-hour tour of the capital and see some of the city’s most prominent sites. The afternoon is free for you to explore Reykjavík and learn more about its intriguing history at the many museums and galleries. Alternatively, embark on an optional whale-watching tour and search for these majestic mammals as you explore the coast of Iceland during your spa holiday. But for those of you who really want to make the most out of the hotel's spa, book further treatments and leave Iceland feeling totally refreshed and relaxed.Meals included:Breakfast
Day 8 - Depart the Capital and Return Home
As the break comes to an end, transfer to the airport and return home to regale family and friends with tales of your unforgettable adventures on this Iceland spa holiday.Meals included:Breakfast

Please Note: Though this program includes 5 evenings dedicated to the Aurora Borealis, this is a natural phenomenon and sightings cannot be guaranteed. Because the Northern Lights are most often seen in winter, you should be prepared to wait outside, perhaps for extended periods of time, so our advice is to dress warmly, in layers with good footwear, gloves and hats. If you are interested in taking photographs, we would recommend you bring a tripod.
