Day 1 - Arrive in Reykjavik
After your flight touches down in Iceland’s capital, transfer to the Centerhotel Plaza in the heart of the old city centre. Day 2 - Tour of the Golden Circle
Today provides the first of your unforgettable guided tours as you head to Iceland’s Golden Circle. Visit the incredible Geysir region, home the Strokkur which shoots boiling water high into the air ever five to 10 minutes! Your tour will also take in the tectonic rift, where the two plates drift between two and six centimetres further apart each year. Day 3 - Discover the Glacial Lagoon
Today’s adventure takes you along the southern coast, to the Jökulsarlon Glacier lagoon. This unique feature developed roughly 60 years ago as icebergs calved and fell from Breiðamerkurjökull, an outlet glacier of the enormous Vatnajõkull glacier. The lagoon is home to a large number of fish which attract seals in the winter, offering an incredible sight to visitors. Later today on your Northern Lights Break in Iceland, you can enjoy a tour of the Skaftafell National Park, discovering highlights such as the Svartifoss waterfall! Day 4 - Explore the Coast
Take in the highlights of the south coast today before you head back to Reykjavik. Stop at the mighty waterfalls; Skogafoss and Seljalandsfoss before heading to some of the iconic glaciers and volcanoes found along the south coast! Head to the Eyjafjallajökull Visitor Centre at the base of this volcano and watch a short film showing its famous eruption and challenges it brought to the residents of Thorvaldseyri farm. After these fascinating discoveries, your Northern Lights Break in Iceland offers the perfect way to relax: a dip in the geothermal mineral waters of the Blue Lagoon. This evening visit provides the unforgettable experience of sitting back and relaxing in the Lagoon while looking for the Northern Lights overhead! Day 5 - Departure
Sadly, it’s time to head home today at the end of your Northern Lights Break in Iceland, transfer to the airport and board your flight.
