Arriving in the splendid city of Bergen, passengers board the ship and sail northwards for a memorable cruise of the Norway coast, rounding the northernmost tip of the country before returning south again to Bergen. Witness superb scenery and fascinating wildlife as the ship makes its way between seaside towns and coastal settlements.

  • Day 1 - Bergen

    Arrive in Bergen, Norway’s second largest city. Time permitting, before you set sail to cruise the Norway coast, take a look around this charismatic city.

  • Day 2 - Ålesund and the Geirangerfjord

    Ålesund and the Geirangerfjord

    The majority of Ålesund was rebuilt after a vicious fire spread through the town in 1904. Now, its inspiring Art Nouveau architecture has become the town’s main attraction. If you are feeling energetic, climb the 418 steps to the top of Mount Aksla for epic views of the town and the surrounding landscape. Next, continue to cruise the Norway coast with a voyage down the famous Geirangerfjord, arguably the most glorious fjord in the whole of Scandinavia. See dramatic waterfalls plunging down the vertical valley sides and don’t forget to have your camera handy!

  • Day 3 - Trondheim

    Trondheim

    Today the cruise of the Norway coast brings you to the medieval city of Trondheim, a city that is enriched with intriguing Viking history. Visit the spectacular Gothic-style Nidaros Cathedral or head over to Gamle Bybrua, the wooden Old Town bridge. Colourful wooden buildings stand on stilts along the waterfront and make for appealing photographs.

  • Day 4 - Cross the Arctic Circle

    Cross the Arctic Circle

    When you pass the island with a monument of a golden globe during your cruise of the Norway coast, you know that you are crossing the Arctic Circle. Today you could get the chance to witness majestic sea eagles on a RIB safari to Saltstraumen, the world’s strongest maelstrom. The voyage continues, treating passengers to some astonishing views as the ship sails past the hundreds of tiny isles that make up the beautiful Lofoten Islands.

  • Day 5 - Tromsø

    Tromsø

    Arriving in the Arctic capital of Norway, take some time to explore this surprisingly cosmopolitan city. The Polar Museum is particularly fascinating as it teaches you all about life in these remote regions. A must-see while you are in Tromsø on the cruise of the Norway coast is the Arctic Cathedral with its innovative design and exquisite stained glass window.

  • Day 6 - The North Cape

    The North Cape

    Today the cruise of the Norway coast reaches its most northerly ports of call. Calling at Hammerfest and Honningsvåg, you will get the chance to visit the incredible North Cape. Standing on the edge of the cliff plateau with the roaring sea 300m below you, gaze out across the ocean – it feels like you are at the very top of the world. The area is well known for its birdlife, and sea eagles, kittiwakes and puffins are frequently spotted.

  • Day 7 - Kirkenes

    Kirkenes

    Kirkenes is the turning point of your cruise of the Norway coast. While you are there you may want to explore the charming town and visit the Sámi museum where you can learn about their way of life this far north. A river boat safari lets you see some of the rich animal and plant life, while a quad bike ride to the Russian border takes you to some fantastic viewpoints.

  • Day 8 - Hammerfest

    Hammerfest

    Claiming to be the world’s most northerly town, you will get the chance to explore more of this delightful place and learn about its history on a bus tour. Later, continue the cruise of the Norway coast with a return to Tromsø, this time for an emotive midnight concert at the Arctic Cathedral.

  • Day 9 - Lofoten Islands

    Lofoten Islands

    The picturesque Lofoten Islands are characterised by quaint fishing villages, sugary white beaches and towering granite mountains. The ship makes its way through the maze of channels that separate each of the tiny islands and skerries, and takes a slight detour so that passengers can witness the grandeur of Trollfjord. Keep an eye open for the plethora of wildlife that inhabits the area.

  • Day 10 - The Seven Sisters Mountain Range

    The Seven Sisters Mountain Range

    Today the cruise of the Norway coast passes an awe-inspiring sight – the Seven Sisters. Swathed in folklore and mythology, these unusually shaped mountains have fascinating tales associated with them which you will get to know during the voyage. You will also sail past the impressive ‘pierced’ Torghatten Mountain so make sure you have your camera ready to get some superb shots.

  • Day 11 - Molde

    Molde

    The seaside town of Molde is popular for its picturesque setting among towering mountains. Take some time to explore the town and its beautiful parks, or walk the mountain footpath to the viewpoint and enjoy stunning panoramas of the town and the fjord. Tonight, make the most of your final evening on the cruise of the Norway coast.

  • Day 12 - Bergen

    Bergen

    After passing the beautiful Nordfjord and Sognefjord, the ship finally makes port in Bergen, signifying the end of your cruise of the Norway coast. Disembark and transfer to the airport for your return flight.
