Due to its northerly location, Norway has seen plenty of glacial action throughout the millennia. As a result, magnificent fjords have formed along the coastline, presenting viewers with awe-inspiring vistas. See the breathtaking sight of the fjords on Norwegian cruises which take you on a terrific voyage along the fragmented coastline, calling at coastal cities like Trondheim, Ålesund and Tromsø. When you go ashore, choose from a selection of exciting excursions or simply soak up the charm and character of each settlement. Throughout your tour of the fjords on Norwegian cruises, there is always the chance that you will see the fabulous Northern Lights. If you are lucky enough to witness these natural phenomena in all their glory, you can expect your Norway cruise in winter to be an experience of a lifetime. As the swirling colours flicker and ripple against the blackness of the night sky, the glistening white snow that blankets the landscapes becomes illuminated with an atmospheric glow, creating a real dream-like scene.
